QUESTION:
What is the ruling on praying behind an Imaam who shaves/trims his beard?
ANSWER:
It is Makrooh to make a person an Imaam who shaves or trims his beard to the extent that it is less than one fist. However, if per chance Salaah was performed behind such a person then his Salaah will be fulfilled, but will not receive the same reward as performing Salaah behind a pious person.
