Placing hand on chest after greeting

It has become a custom in area that after greeting a person with Salaam and shaking the hand, the hand is placed on the cheat. Is this correct and is this mentioned in any Hadith?

ANSWER: اَلْجَوَابُ حَامِداً وَمُصَلِّياً

After greeting a person with salaam and shaking the hands, to place the hand on the chest is not prohibited in Shariat. In some areas/ places this action is a means of exposing one’s humility and love. This action should not be understood to be Sunnat or Mustahab

Aqeeqah of a Cow

Please advise if Aqeeqah is done on a goat, not on a cow. Recently somebody told me that there is no Hadith to give a cow for Aqeeqah, only a goat is to be used for Aqeeqah. If somebody has a large family, and he can’t afford to buy goats due to his economic condition, can he then do the Aqeeqah on a cow? Is there such a Hadith saying that an Aqeeqah can be done either on a goat or a cow?
